My First Unboxing Video Ever!!

MY FIRST UNBOXING VIDEO EVER! SILLY AND FULL OF FAILS!

3 min read

This one is just me, a camera, and a pile of packages I’ve been dying to open. It’s my first unboxing video ever, and I’m not going to pretend I’ve got it all figured out. I’m nervous, I’m messing up, and I’m genuinely excited. If you’ve ever gotten a surprise in the mail, you know the feeling.

The first snip

I unwrap the first package from Katnappe, a sleepwear brand, and out comes a velvet sleeper. It’s navy blue, not black, and the zip in the front feels just right for winter. As I say in the video, “I don’t want any of my past winter sleepers anymore.” That small, soft thing already makes me smile.

Honest first impressions

Next is a sweatshirt from Maddie’s Clothing. It says “girl power” across the front. I tell the camera, “I’m not really a girl power kind of person, at least not to wear it.” I might still keep it for warmth, but I’m not sure. That honesty matters more than pretending to love everything.

A sketch that tells our story

There’s one item that stops me mid-unbox. It’s a sketch of me and my husband on our wedding day, done by an artist called Dramatistik. The detail is gorgeous, every little line. I’m going to frame it and add it to my art wall because some things deserve more than a box. They deserve a home.

When packaging surprises you

A set from Saffron Natural Handmade Skincare arrives with a golden glow and a handwritten note from Fatma, the CEO. It reads, “These products are hand blended with natural and organic ingredients to bring best of the best for your skin. P.S. You’re beautiful.” I’m especially excited about the brow lash serum because my lashes are tiny. That note alone makes me want to try everything, not just unbox it.

A watch and a fail

I’ve always loved Daniel Wellington, so when I see their box I get the happy jitters. Inside is a rose gold watch with a white dial and an extra leather strap. What you don’t see is me fumbling with the band, almost dropping the whole thing. I laugh, I fumble more. That’s the real me, and I’m okay with it.

Wrap up with a towel and a ribbon

Garnier Pakistan sent a pure active face wash, but the real delight is a tiny blue ribbon monogrammed with “HR” and a small towel. I plan to take that towel to the gym and smile every time I see my initials on it. It’s a small thing, but that kind of thoughtfulness stays with you.

This was December’s haul, full of fails and honest moments. I’m planning to do this again in January because unboxing isn’t just about stuff. It’s about pausing to notice the small things that make you happy. If you’re into that, stick around. Positive vibes only, but only the real kind.
