My Journey As A Creator
Talking about my work life in tonight's epidose. How I started working and how I came up with positive vibes only.
3 min read
This one is just me, a solo episode where I open up about my own path as a creator. It is not a polished highlight reel. It is the real story of how I started working, why I chose to talk about the small things, and how the idea of positive vibes only came to be. It is about the messy middle, the judgment, and the quiet decision to keep going anyway.
How it all started
I started working when I was still in school. I think it was around 2016 when I first stumbled into blogging. The concept was new to me, but I was drawn to it. I wanted to talk about positivity at a time when not many people around me were having those conversations. It felt like a very different thing to do back then. People did not really understand it. I remember getting messages from people who followed me, and slowly, a community started to form. It was crazy and solving, all at once.
Facing the log kya kahenge
When I made my profile public, the judgment followed. Log kya kahenge, what will people say, became a real thing I had to face. People talked. But I realized I was not doing anything wrong. I was just taking up space in a way that was unfamiliar to others at the time. I decided that if people were going to talk about me anyway, I might as well do something that made me proud of myself. I wanted to help people in a way they could relate to, and that meant being visible even when it was uncomfortable.
The power of small things
I have always loved talking about the small things. Not the big, loud achievements, but the tiny moments that actually make up a life. I believe that you do not have to do something massive to create positive change. It is in the way you respond to a problem, the way you choose to see a hard day. I wanted to normalize talking about real life, the stuff that is not always pretty. In Pakistan, the lifestyle and entertainment space was often about fashion and surface level things. I wanted to go a little deeper, to talk about things raw.
Inspiration comes from within
People often ask me where my inspiration comes from. The truth is, I do not look for it outside. I have learned that you will never find it if you keep searching externally. It comes from within you. It comes from your own mother, your own experiences, the way you process the world. When everything feels difficult, that is when authenticity matters most. You have to sit with yourself and think about how you are doing things, not just what you are doing. That is where the real good vibes start.
Letting go to move forward
In the middle of all the work, there comes a point where you have to pause and let go of something. It is a difficult thing to understand, but you cannot hold onto everything. To make space for what is coming next, you have to release what is weighing you down. It is your responsibility to understand that. This journey is long, and I still have a long way to go, but I am learning to be okay with the pace.
Why this matters
This conversation is for anyone who is at the start of something and feels alone in it. I want you to know that the judgment softens, the confusion clears, and the small things you do today really do add up. You do not have to have it all figured out. You just have to keep showing up, honestly, as yourself.
